PNEUMATIC DELEAFER HIRE

The LB 260 is a pneumatic leaf-removal system engineered to cleanly strip leaves from the vine wall — boosting airflow, light penetration, and spray access within the canopy. It uses a tractor-mounted blower that generates air at 0.6–1.0 bar, channelled through rotating nozzle heads. These nozzles deliver a rapid, hammer-like pulse of air which removes leaves gently but thoroughly, with the working height adjustable between 400 mm and 640 mm.

Equipped with dual-rotor stripping heads and a cyclonic pre-filter to keep the air intake clean, the LB 260 ensures reliable consistency even in dusty vineyard conditions.

 

Its design makes it possible to operate on the day before, or even on the day of harvest, significantly reducing hand-harvesting effort and improving yield quality.

This leaf-removal method helps reduce disease risk (such as Botrytis), improves spray coverage and fruit exposure, and dramatically lowers labour compared with manual defoliation — making LB 260 a valuable tool for growers aiming for efficiency and high fruit quality.

First day rate | £650

Price for the first day of hire includes total machine set up; fitting the deleafer, instruction on use and supervision/demonstration of first few row passes and further calibration if required. Please note a mounting bracket may be required at your expense, so advise on your tractor type on hire enquiry.

 

Subsequent hire | £500

This rate is calculated only on days in use and we do not charge for storage/days not in use while at your vineyard.

 

Delivery and collection | £POA

This will vary per vineyard dependant on our mileage.
